U.S., Japan to discuss how Tokyo can work with AUKUS: Kurt Campbell
TOKYO -- U.S. and Japanese leaders at their April summit are expected to discuss how Tokyo can technologically collaborate with the AUKUS trilateral defense framework, U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell told Nikkei and other outlets on Thursday.
"Rarely, if ever, has the partnership between the United States and Japan been stronger," said Campbell, a veteran Asia hand who previously served as coordinator for Indo-Pacific Affairs at the U.S. National Security Council.
