Thai cabinet reshuffle puts ruling party 'at risk,' experts say
BANGKOK -- Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin's recent cabinet reshuffle, aimed at smoothing the ruling Pheu Thai Party's flagship policy of digital money handouts, is unlikely to pay off, according to political experts.
The changes apparently favor those close to former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who founded the party, and have caused rifts within the party that could lead to a loss in the next election, they say.
