Associate of cryptocurrency fugitive Do Kwon extradited to South Korea

SEOUL -- A close associate of the cryptocurrency fugitive Do Kwon was extradited to South Korea on Tuesday, the government said, as authorities continue to pursue the founder of startup Terraform Labs in connection to the collapse of the Luna and TerraUSD stablecoins.

Han Chang-joon, Terraform's chief financial officer, arrived at Incheon International Airport in the afternoon, with his head covered by the hood of a black jacket and his face also obscured by a mask, local media images showed. The Justice Ministry said prosecutors will investigate Han as the 37-year-old was arrested on charges including alleged fraud and market manipulation over the Luna and TerraUSD crash.
