Amazon to invest $15bn in Japan over 5 years, topping funds for India
TOKYO -- Amazon Web Services, the world's biggest cloud computing company, announced on Friday that it will invest about 2.3 trillion yen ($15.5 billion) in Japan over five years between 2023 and 2027.
U.S.-based AWS will use the money to increase data centers -- key facilities for cloud computing services -- and strengthen business operations.
