Toyota's home ground becomes home for drone and space startups
TOKYO -- Startups developing future forms of transportation like space planes, drones and flying cars are being bred in central Japan's Aichi prefecture, home to Toyota Motor and its suppliers, driven by a sense of urgency to foster industrial momentum amid challenges from the emergence of electric vehicles.
PD Aerospace, a startup developing space planes that will pave the way for private space travel, said it has benefited from choosing Aichi as its headquarters.
