South Korea security expo features AI sound detection, crowd control help
SEOUL -- Artificial intelligence can be used to aid public safety by listening for a variety of sounds such as car crashes or moans in care homes, and to count the number of people in tight spaces prone to overcrowding, participants at an industry conference in South Korea said.
Hundreds of companies displayed their latest AI-infused products and services at the International Security Exhibition and Conference, held for three days last week in the city of Goyang, near Seoul.
