South Korea's Yoon vetoes investigation into drowning death of marine
SEOUL -- South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol on Tuesday vetoed a special prosecution investigation into the death of a marine, drawing fierce condemnation from his political opponents and underscoring concerns over official attitudes and commitment to safety.
Park Chan-dae, floor leader of the main opposition Democratic Party, had said before the move that it would be tantamount to a "declaration of war" and vowed an "all-out response."
