Modi meets Zelenskyy in Ukraine weeks after Putin hug

NEW DELHI -- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Ukraine on Friday and met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, carrying a similar message to the one he brought to Russia earlier in the summer in what analysts are calling a diplomatic balancing act.

With the Russia-Ukraine war escalating, Modi arrived in Kyiv from Poland, a key NATO member he also visited. The Indian leader and Zelenskyy shook hands and hugged as they paid homage at the Martyrologist Exposition on children in the Ukrainian capital.
