TOKYO -- Japan will require companies in critical sectors including chips and machine tools to take steps to prevent cross-border technology leaks in order to qualify for government aid, Nikkei has learned.
The planned tech transfer rules will apply to five areas: semiconductors, advanced electronic components, batteries, aircraft components, and machine tools and industrial robots.
