Japan's Sumitomo Chemical aims to double chip materials sales
TOKYO -- Sumitomo Chemical will seek to more than double its sales of chipmaking materials by fiscal 2030, President Keiichi Iwata told Nikkei on Tuesday, as the company invests in new growth drivers.
The group, which logged a record loss in the fiscal year ended March amid weakness in petrochemicals and pharmaceuticals, is preparing to reshuffle its business portfolio later this year.
