Japan's exports grew in July on semiconductors and weak yen

TOKYO -- Japan's exports grew in value terms for the eighth month in a row in July, driven mainly by semiconductors and automobiles, official data showed on Wednesday.

The country's total exports reached 9.6 trillion yen ($66 billion), up 10.3% from a year earlier, according to preliminary figures released by the Ministry of Finance. Total imports came in at 10.2 trillion yen, up 16.6%, marking the fourth consecutive month of growth.
