TOKYO -- Lime, a leading U.S. operator of rental electric scooters, is starting operations in Japan this month as the company reaches its first East Asian market.
The service debuts with 200 scooters at roughly 40 charging stations across six Tokyo wards, including Shibuya and Shinjuku. Lime aims to expand the operation to 2,000 vehicles by the end of the year.
