Japan's ANA and JAL team up against abusive behavior by passengers
TOKYO -- Japan's two leading airlines, All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Japan Airlines (JAL), announced on Friday that they have set up a joint policyto protect their workers from verbal or physical violence inflicted by customers as airline employees have been victims in many cases.
The problem of "customer harassment" -- customers harassing company employees -- has become a common issue in Japan recently in service industries where workers frequently interact with the public.
