Comeback story: Japan Inc. veterans' market cap surges 160% in decade
TOKYO -- Seasoned players in corporate Japan are having a resurgence, with their market value growing much faster than the pack as they strive to transform themselves in a rapidly changing landscape.
Combined market capitalization of TOPIX 100 component companies that are at least 100 years old surged 160% over the past 10 years through the end of May, exceeding 157 trillion yen ($976.7 billion).
