Japan kitchen maker to market enamel in Indonesia to beat humidity
OSAKA -- Japanese housing equipment manufacturer Takara Standard is expanding into Indonesia, anticipating demand for kitchen systems made with moisture-resistant materials among the country's growing wealthy class.
Takara Standard deals in enameled products, made of steel sheet with a baked-on glass glaze. Enamel is less prone to deterioration in hot and humid climates than the wooden kitchens that are common in Indonesia, as well as easier to clean.
