Japan first-half food exports down 1st time in 4 years amid China row
TOKYO -- Japan's January-June exports of food, agricultural, forestry and fishery products dropped for the first time in four years as shipments to China plunged, the latest Japanese government data shows.
The figure declined 1.8% on the year to 701.3 billion yen ($4.76 billion), the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries announced Friday.
