Biden takes aim at Trump by saying the U.S. is rising, not China
WASHINGTON -- U.S. President Joe Biden told the nation in his annual State of the Union address on Thursday that the American economy is the "envy of the world" and that the narrative of it losing to China is wrong.
Addressing a joint session of Congress for the fourth time, the president did not once mention former President Donald Trump by name. Instead, he repeatedly addressed his likely opponent in the November election as "my predecessor" and sought to contrast their policies, including on China.
