Woodside Energy and Santos end talks on $52bn merger
(Reuters) -- Australia's Woodside Energy and Santos said on Wednesday they had ended talks to create a possible 80 billion Australian dollar ($52 billion) global oil and gas giant, and Santos flagged it would look for other ways to bolster its value.
Woodside, which is more than twice as large as Santos in terms of market value and revenue, said it would only pursue a deal that would add value for its shareholders.
