Ukraine war live updates: Ukraine disputes Russia's claim to have seized another village; Kyiv, Odesa targeted in drone strikes

Ukraine has disputed Russia's claim to have seized a second eastern Ukrainian village in as many days on Monday.
Russia's Defense Ministry claimed Monday that its forces had taken control of the village of Novomykhailivka, around 25 miles southwest of the city of Donetsk, but a Ukrainian official rejected the claim, saying Ukraine still held the settlement and was still fighting to hold on to it.
Russia claimed on Sunday that it had seized Bohdanivka, northeast of Chasiv Yar, another near-term target.
In other news, Ukraine's capital Kyiv and the southern city of Odesa were the targets of Russian drone attacks overnight, regional officials said.
A drone attack on port city Odesa injured seven people, including two children, and Kyiv was also targeted with unmanned aerial vehicles, or drones, although no one was hurt in the attack. Ukraine's air force said 15 out of 16 Russian drones had been destroyed.
Momentum is building around renewed allied support and funding for Ukraine after months of delay over further aid in the U.S.
Days after the U.S. House of Representatives gave the greenlight to a $61 billion aid package for Ukraine, the U.K. announced Tuesday its largest-ever military aid package for Kyiv worth £500 million ($617.1 million).
