U.S. presidential candidates should have open debate on policy
U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris has formally secured the Democratic presidential nomination, setting up a showdown with Republican candidate and former President Donald Trump. President Joe Biden has withdrawn from the race, and only three months remain until the polls open on Nov. 5.
Both sides should engage in a straightforward competition based on policy, working to provide voters with the information needed to judge which of the two is more fit to lead the global superpower.
