U.K.'s new Labour government is set to re-engage with EU and China

LONDON -- The Labour Party's primary focus after its landslide win in the U.K. general election on Thursday will be to fix a cost-of-living crisis and failing social services, but it will also quickly be tested on foreign policy in a rapidly deteriorating geopolitical climate.

After 14 years of Conservative rule, Labour surpassed the 326 seats needed to gain a majority early on Friday morning, with around 200 constituencies yet to declare.
