I have just returned from my first visit to mainland China and Hong Kong, where I held robust discussions with my political counterparts about the U.K.'s deep concerns over the loss of autonomy and promised rights and freedoms in Hong Kong, pressed for the lifting of sanctions on U.K. parliamentarians and reiterated our resolve to protect U.K. national security from foreign interference.
