Trump-Vance ticket sets stage for years of China arm-twisting
MILWAUKEE -- U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump's search for a running mate came down to three finalists: Marco Rubio, a senator from Florida; Doug Burgum, the governor of North Dakota; and J.D. Vance, a senator from Ohio.
All three recently spoke with Trump, and the former president kept the suspense going until the last minute -- even as he flew into Milwaukee on Sunday for the Republican Convention, his ear bandaged after the previous day's assassination attempt.
