Trump says China 'doesn't fear' a shaky Biden in presidential debate
NORFOLK/PALO ALTO, U.S. -- The leaders of China, North Korea and Russia "don't fear" President Joe Biden and could start new wars on his watch, former President Donald Trump said in the first presidential debate of the 2024 U.S. election campaign Thursday night.
In the televised contest with no spectators in Atlanta, Biden shot back that it was Trump's accommodating stance toward Russian President Vladimir Putin that was truly dangerous, noting that if Moscow were to advance into a NATO ally, the U.S. would be pulled into a war through its Article V commitments.
