Taiwan opposition party head summoned for questioning over scandal
TAIPEI (Kyodo) -- The leader of Taiwan's second-largest opposition party was summoned Friday for questioning over his alleged involvement in a corruption scandal after prosecutors searched his home and the party headquarters in connection with the case, local media said.
The scandal is related to a shopping center development project in which Taiwan People's Party founder Ko Wen-je was involved while serving as a Taipei mayor between 2014 and 2022.
