Taiwan hails U.S.-Japan-Philippines ties as 'great deterrent' to China
TAIPEI -- Security cooperation between Japan, the Philippines and the U.S. will help deter China's military expansionism in the region, Taiwan's top diplomat said in an exclusive interview.
"Not only does [the trio] form a very close alliance, Japan also provides the Philippines with more necessary assistance, and is even discussing an RAA (reciprocal access agreement), which can strengthen the security cooperation between Japan and the Philippines," Foreign Minister Joseph Wu told Nikkei Asia.
