South Korea's working class unmoved by election campaign 'lip service'
SEOUL -- On a predawn bus taking her to work as a cleaner, Jung Soon-ja snacks on ginseng jellies to boost her energy and applies eyedrops to protect against the dust and chemicals she will encounter.
She rises in the dark every day to catch the first bus at 3:50 a.m. from her home in a working-class area of northern Seoul to the glitzy Gangnam district in the city's south. She has to mop all the floors and empty all the wastebaskets by the time the first suited workers arrive in the office.
