South Korea ramps up defense exports to Europe, eyeing Ukraine war
WASHINGTON -- South Korea is working to boost defense exports to Europe, tapping growing demand in the region amid the protracted war in Ukraine.
Hanwha Aerospace, a leading South Korean defense contractor, secured a 1.3 trillion won ($947 million) contract with the Romanian Defense Ministry on Tuesday for 54 K9 self-propelled howitzers and 36 K10 ammunition resupply vehicles.
