Solomon Islands PM visits Australia in first foreign trip
SYDNEY -- Solomon Islands Prime Minister Jeremiah Manele and his Australian counterpart, Anthony Albanese, discussed policing and security on Wednesday during the Pacific nation leader's first official overseas trip since taking office.
Manele, who assumed office in May after five years as foreign minister, has moved to rebalance his country's international relationships following a pro-China shift under his predecessor, Manasseh Sogavare.
