Prabowo's call on Indonesia's finance chief worries investors
JAKARTA -- The likelihood that Indonesia's respected finance minister will not be a part of the new cabinet under incoming leader Prabowo Subianto is worrying investors and economists.
The country's General Elections Commission has yet to finalize its official tally for last month's presidential election, but preliminary results as of Tuesday covering 78% of polling stations showed Prabowo leading with 58.82% of the vote, far ahead of his two rivals, making his victory almost certain.
