Philippine stock exchange eyes IPO rebound after weak 2023
MANILA -- The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) is forecasting that initial public offerings will double this year after a weak 2023, but analysts caution that rate cuts could be key to hitting that ambitious target.
The PSE, one of Asia's oldest exchanges, has said it expects six IPOs this year -- up from just three in 2023 -- with Citicore Renewable Energy already filing for a share sale of up to $231.9 million.
