North Korea stokes rift with Seoul, emboldened by Russian support
SEOUL -- North Korea continues to harden its stance toward South Korea a year after positioning Seoul as an enemy and abandoning the goal of unification, with Pyongyang increasingly playing into the growing rift between Russia and the West.
Kim Yo Jong, sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, in a statement on Monday criticized "ROK military gangsters" over recent live ammunition drills "near the southern border" of North Korea.
