Myanmar strife risks derailing stalled ASEAN peace agreement
BANGKOK/YANGON -- More than three years since the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and Myanmar's military reached a five-point peace agreement, a lasing peace looks increasingly distant amid the intensifying conflict.
The five-point consensus announced on April 24, 2021, shortly after the Myanmar military's takeover of the government, calls for the immediate halting of violence by all parties and the start of constructive dialogue.
