Japan, South Korea to agree on mutual expat evacuations from abroad
TOKYO -- Japan and South Korea are set to agree on evacuating each other's citizens from third countries during an emergency, tightening their ties to boost safety as they eye tensions in the Middle East and a potential crisis in Taiwan.
Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol are expected to discuss a system for cooperation during emergencies in other countries during their summit on Friday in Seoul.
