Japan's Fanuc opens $110m U.S. robot storage and maintenance center
TOKYO -- Fanuc's U.S. subsidiary has opened a $110 million facility in Michigan to store, sell and maintain made-in-Japan industrial robots for North American customers, expanding its footprint in a region with brisk demand for automation.
The facility, built on 270,000 square meters, has warehouse space to hold over 6,000 robots and features automated systems for transferring the robots in and out.
