Indonesia's nickel hub at risk of radicalism, report warns
KUALA LUMPUR -- Indonesia must improve conditions at its key nickel-processing sites as fatal accidents and ethnic clashes stoke tensions that could re-radicalize former extremists now working in the sector, a new report warns.
The abysmal safety and work situation also threatens to hurt future investment in Indonesia as it looks to turn itself into an electric-vehicle battery hub with its vast nickel resources, analysts said.
