JAKARTA/NUSANTARA -- President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo on Monday led the first cabinet meeting in the new Garuda Palace in Nusantara, Indonesia's planned new capital on Borneo Island.

With just over two months left in his 10-year tenure, Jokowi is rushing to make as much progress as possible on the ambitious project to move the capital functions out of Jakarta. On Saturday, the president will lead Indonesia's Independence Day ceremony for the first time in Nusantara, also known by its local acronym IKN.
