Indonesia aims to join OECD within two to three years, minister says

JAKARTA -- Indonesia aims to complete the process of joining the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) within two or three years, its minister involved in the accession talks says.

The 38-nation organization, known as the "club of developed countries," announced last week that it was opening accession discussions with Indonesia. If realized, Indonesia will be the first OECD member from Southeast Asia.
