India's Modi-led alliance clinches narrow electoral victory
NEW DELHI -- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday night that his Bharatiya Janata Party-led alliance has clinched a third term in office, after the bloc fell short of a widely predicted landslide.
"Today is an auspicious day when the NDA [National Democratic Alliance] is set to form the government for a third time in a row," he said at BJP headquarters in New Delhi.
