Husband takes legal action over degrading photos of Malaysian Olympian Nur Dhabitah Sabri

Malaysian actor-comedian Mohammad Aizat Ahmad Nazri said he is set to take legal action against an individual for allegedly editing and uploading lewd images depicting his wife and national diver Nur Dhabitah Sabri.

According to a report by Utusan, Mohammad Aizat, who is popularly known as Jiggy Masin, has received two such photos since Nur Dhabitah made it to the semi-finals of the women’s 3m springboard diving event at the Paris Olympics on August 8. She advanced to the finals on August 9, where she ultimately finished 12th.

“Based on statements by an investigating officer and a lawyer, a legal notice has been issued to the individual. I will go ahead with taking action because what this individual has done is too much,” he said in the Utusan report.

Previously, Mohammad Aizat is said to have expressed his frustrations on social media over an individual who allegedly uploaded lewd edited images depicting his wife that it became a topic of conversation online.

“If it’s just disparaging comments towards me, I can still be patient. But the images have reached an insulting and degrading level,” he said.

Mohammad Aizat also said that despite receiving a lot of toxic comments online, he personally hopes that Nur Dhabitah will remain resilient.

According to a separate report by Kosmo, Mohammad Aizat had attempted to reach out to the individual on Facebook but the account can no longer be found.

He added in a social media posting that the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), Royal Malaysia Police and Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development will assist in the matter.
