Chinese stocks advance on PBOC’s hint of easing, Hong Kong closed due to typhoon
Hong Kong’s market wasn’t trading – at least for the morning session – because of a typhoon.
The Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.4 per cent to 2,799.93 as of 10.02am local time. Still, the benchmark has fallen 1.5 per cent for the week after earlier sliding to a six-month low.
The CSI 300 Index also added 0.4 per cent, while the Shenzhen Composite Index slipped 0.2 per cent.
