China urges more investment in country, warns against decoupling

BOAO, China -- Investing in China is investing in the future, a senior Communist Party official told delegates to the international Boao Forum for Asia during the keynote speech at the opening ceremony here on Thursday.

Zhao Leji, who chairs the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress legislature, also voiced opposition to the spreading U.S. and European movement to decouple economic interests from Beijing, as he addressed the annual gathering of political and business leaders.
