Can the world learn lessons from Sarajevo's history of war?
TOKYO -- My late May visit to Sarajevo, the capital of the Central European country of Bosnia-Herzegovina, was an opportunity to look back on the city's long history of wars and ponder the lessons it offers for today's volatile world.
Many people know the city as the site of the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, presumptive heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne, which sparked World War I 110 years ago.
