BOJ chief vows to limit disruption after raising policy shift hopes
TOKYO -- Bank of Japan Gov. Kazuo Ueda on Tuesday raised expectations of a shift in the country's monetary policy, and sought to reassure markets it would minimize disruption when it unwinds its ultraloose easing measures.
Speaking after the central bank kept policy unchanged following its latest meeting, Ueda repeatedly highlighted the BOJ's progress toward achieving sustained inflation.
