Apple sets new June quarter revenue record but China woes continue
PALO ALTO, California -- Apple reported a new revenue record for the April-June quarter on Thursday. But declining sales in China continued as the iPhone giant faced growing competition from such domestic handset makers as Huawei Technologies and Vivo.
For the three months ended June 29, Apple's total revenue grew 5% on the year to $85.8 billion. Its main revenue driver, the iPhone, however, fell 1% to $39.3 billion. The Services segment, which includes the App Store, Apple Music and TV products, logged an all-time high to $21.2 billion -- up 14%.
