Singapore braces for IShowSpeed’s Southeast Asia tour filled with durian, tuk-tuks, and PacMan
The excitement in Singapore is palpable as fans gear up for the arrival of YouTube sensation IShowSpeed who is on a weeks-long tour of Southeast Asia that has seen him indulge in tuk-tuk stunts, perform his signature backflips and choke on durians.
The American live streamer, currently in Indonesia, began his swing through the region in Thailand on September 9 where he attempted to drive a three-wheel vehicle, only to crash it into a temple wall, leading to a minor head injury.
But that did not dampen the enthusiasm of IShowSpeed, whose real name is Darren Watkins Jnr, as he took elephant rides and showed off his Muay Thai skills in the kingdom.
The 19-year-old boasts more than 30 million YouTube subscribers and commands a huge following thanks to his videos featuring real-life experiences.
In the Philippines, IShowSpeed, or simply Speed, traded blows with boxing great Manny “PacMan” Pacquiao, wowing fans who called him “more brave” than former pugilist Floyd Mayweather.
