Kamala Harris says America, not China, will win 21st century

CHICAGO -- U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris laid out her foreign policy principles as she accepted the Democratic Party's presidential nomination Thursday night, pledging never to waver in defense of the nation's security and ideals, and to strengthen American global leadership.

For the first time since she was endorsed by President Joe Biden to be his successor, Harris gave an indication of how she would steer the U.S. on the world stage, in a hard-hitting speech to close out the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
