Japan space startup Interstellar raises $21m from NTT-led backers
TOKYO -- Japanese rocket and satellite startup Interstellar Technologies raised 3.1 billion yen ($21.2 million) from a group of funders that includes NTT Docomo, Japan's leading wireless carrier.
Interstellar allotted shares through private transactions with NTT Docomo, financial services provider SBI Group and other investors. Resona Bank extended financing, bringing the total funds raised to 3.1 billion yen.
