India and U.K. eye early FTA under new Starmer government
NEW DELHI -- India and the U.K. are working toward concluding a free trade agreement soon with the new British Foreign Secretary David Lammy describing ongoing negotiations as "the floor not the ceiling" of shared ambitions to unlock their bilateral potential and deliver growth.
Lammy wrapped up his two-day maiden visit to New Delhi on Thursday during which he called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and held talks with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and National Security Adviser Ajit Doval.
